I believe it would be recognised marriage is marriage regardless of where it took place (even in a registry office). It can be blessed by a church at some later point if people wish but it would be respected as marriage.Nevertheless for an authoritive answer you should talk to the priet - he won't mind answering your question.

You can get married in a Catholic church despite not being Catholic provided you promise to raise any children as Catholic. If you go with this it might be an idea to have mass without communion as some priests won't give communion to people of other faiths due to theological differences in belief.You can also receive a Catholic blessing even if you get married somewhere else but you'll have to find a priest that will do it as an awful lot of priests aren't keen on the idea
